What is the difference between a horizontal machining center and a vertical machining center?

The HMC has a horizontal spindle, suitable for complex and multi-faceted parts, with good rigidity and smooth chip removal. The VMC has a vertical spindle, commonly used for simple flat workpieces. If you machine complex, high-precision industrial parts, an HMC is the better choice for you.

What is the difference between inverted-T and straight-T structures?

Inverted-T (HMC630A, HMC1000A) features a wide, low base with a reinforced column for even weight distribution and vibration damping. Straight-T (HMC63) uses a horizontal bed with an integrated vertical column, also made of HT300 cast iron. Both give you high rigidity for heavy cutting – your choice depends on your workpiece size and need for thermal stability.
