Why Choose Our Vertical Drilling Machine?
Here is why our vertical drilling machine delivers.

Gear drive with forced lubrication significantly reduces wear on rails and screws.

High reliability design supports long-hour continuous operation, even with two shifts daily.

Clear button and handle layout – beginners can operate independently after one day of training.

Simple design with no complex electronics – daily cleaning and lubrication only.
One Machine Does Drilling, Tapping and Milling
Why Buy Three Machines When One Does It All? Your vertical drilling machine combines drilling, tapping and milling in a single compact unit. You can switch between operations quickly without moving workpieces to different stations. This saves your valuable shop floor space, reduces your equipment investment, and speeds up your production workflow.

Every Machine Passes a 72-Hour Continuous Test
You will never receive a machine with hidden defects. Our incoming material pass rate is 99.98%, over 50 key quality control points are set during production, and every finished machine must pass a 72-hour continuous operation test before it ships to you. We simulate real-world drilling, tapping, and milling conditions to ensure every unit is stable and reliable before delivery. You don’t get a “probably fine” machine – you get a verified production tool.
Company Capabilities

You are working with a manufacturer who has specialized in vertical drilling machines for ten years, serving over 500 Chinese manufacturers. With 6 product lines covering 90% of metalworking applications and a flexible monthly capacity of 100-500 units, you get drilling, tapping, and milling solutions backed by 3-step quality control and a global service team.
Industry Solution Examples

Mold manufacturing demands high positioning accuracy, surface quality, and process integration. Our vertical drilling and milling machines feature cross tables and 360° rotating headstocks, supporting precise positioning, angled hole drilling, and combined drilling-milling operations. This reduces workpiece handling and clamping between different machines, avoiding accumulated errors. From mold base machining to cavity drilling, one machine completes multiple steps, significantly shortening mold delivery time. You get faster turnaround on every project.

Does your shop deal with high-mix, low-volume production? Our vertical drilling machines integrate drilling, tapping, and milling into one unit — handling frequent changeovers between different workpieces and processes without needing multiple machines. The 360° rotating table and vertical lift accommodate various part sizes, reducing setup time and equipment investment.

Customer Testimonials
A vertical drilling machine has a vertically oriented spindle and a worktable that moves up and down by hand crank or motor drive. It is suitable for drilling, reaming, counterboring, and tapping on small to medium parts. Some models with milling capability can also do basic surfacing and slotting. It is one of the most basic and common machines in any metalworking shop.
Standard drill presses are not suitable for milling because they lack lateral spindle rigidity, causing vibration and poor accuracy. However, vertical drilling machines equipped with a cross table and gear drive can handle light milling operations such as slotting, surfacing, and chamfering. Keep in mind that you cannot take heavy cuts or mill at high speeds like a real milling machine. For occasional milling needs, a drill-mill combo is much more cost-effective than buying a separate milling machine.
First, identify your most common material types and hole diameter range. For drilling and tapping only, choose the basic model Z5045. Need an auto feed to reduce labor? Choose Z5045/1. Need milling capability? Choose Z5045C with a cross table. Need all features? Choose Z5045C/1. Also consider table size, spindle travel, and motor power. We recommend sending your typical part drawings so we can help match the right model precisely.
After each use, clean chips and cutting fluid, keeping the worktable and guide rails clean. Check gearbox oil level weekly and replace completely every 6-12 months. The spindle sleeve and lifting screw need regular lubrication. Before each shift, check all fastening screws for looseness. With proper basic maintenance, the machine will run for over a decade.
